The aim of the Nordic Cereal Congress is to present research and technical reports (oral presentations and posters), and to exhibit instruments and products. The Congress aims at being the meeting place for everyone interested in cereals: representatives of industry, agriculture, education and science. By offering a reduced fee for students the Congress also aims to attract young cereal scientists.

The congress language is english.

PlantComMistra Pre-Congress Workshop

Insect pests are a common problem in cereal cultivation, a problem expecting to increase with time. In the multidisciplinary research program PlantComMistra, scientists are since 2006 studying plants and insects to find new ways to manage aphid pests. Welcome to a Pre-Congress Workshop to hear about the approach and results from this program! Program of the workshop

Call for abstracts

Contributions to the congress as oral or poster presentations are welcome. Please indicate your interest and a title for your presentation in the registration form.

Deadline for submitting an abstract for oral or poster presentations was January 31, 2012. Please use this template, and submit the file to marie.alminger@chalmers.se .

There will be a reward for the two best posters. The poster screens are 193 cm high and 93 cm wide.

Boat trip to Älvsborg Fortress

Join us and visit Älvsborg Fortress. The boat will departure from the dock at the congress site and the trip includes a light meal and a guided tour at the fortress. You can read more about similar events at the shipping company website. Please sign up for the trip in the registration form.

Conference fee and accomodation

The conference fee includes documentation, three lunches and one dinner. Hotel reservations should be made directly through the hotel. We recommend these hotels that are located close to the conference or the city center.

PhD-student: 1200 (signed letter from supervisor and poster or oral presentation is required)

There is no programme for accompanying persons, but it is possible to sign upp for extra tickets to the boat trip and for the conference dinner separately in the registration form.
